More than three months after Duran Duran reissued its self-titled debut and ‘Seven and the Ragged Tiger,’ the band’s label, EMI, is defending the albums’ remastering amid fan complaints, acknowledging that ‘the mastering on these versions is different to that of previous remasters — however that does not necessarily make it wrong.’

Patience, Duran Duran fans: U.S. release dates continue to shift for the band’s upcoming reissues, as the expanded editions of 1981 debut ‘Duran Duran’ and 1983’s ‘Seven and the Ragged Tiger’ this week were bumped to April 20, while the remastered editions of 1986’s ‘Notorious’ and 1988’s ‘Big Thing’ were pushed back to to July 6.
The next two titles in Duran Duran’s series of expanded reissues — 1986’s ‘Notorious’ and 1988’s ‘Big Thing’ — are due out June 7 internationally, according to a release schedule from the Dutch arm of EMI Music.
