Less than two weeks after Jane’s Addiction frontman Perry Farrell proclaimed to Rolling Stone that “it’ll be a couple of years before you see Jane’s again,” the band has been confirmed to perform its classic 1988 studio debut Nothing’s Shocking over three nights in Las Vegas this May.

Last week Jane’s Addiction received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of debut studio album Nothing’s Shocking, the band played a short set for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” part of which was aired on last night’s show and posted on the program’s YouTube channel.

This week’s new releases include a 3CD reissue of Bob Mould’s ‘Bob Mould,’ ‘The Last Dog and Pony Show’ and ‘Love Dog 98,’ plus a Mobile Fidelity reissue of Jane’s Addiction’s ‘Nothing’s Shocking,’ an expanded reissue of Vicious Pink’s debut, and the CD of Men Without Hats’ new ‘Love in the Age of War.’

Jane’s Addiction has done a fairly good job keeping details of its forthcoming album ‘The Great Escape Artist’ under wraps — a tracklist has yet to be revealed, for example — but the band’s label, Capitol Records, has now released the cover art for the record.

Playing its first official public concert with new bassist Duff McKagan, alt-rockers Jane’s Addiction debuted a brand-new song, ‘Soulmate,’ at a short Hollywood club show last night — the first new Jane’s tune to emerge since 2003’s ‘Strays.’
