The reactivated My Bloody Valentine will follow up its trio of dates in Japan by headlining All Tomorrow’s Parties’ just-announced I’ll Be Your Mirror Melbourne festival next February, marking Kevin Shields and Co.’s first Australian concert in more than 20 years.

Simon Bonney has resurrected his art-rock group Crime and the City Solution — which, during the ’80s, included members of The Birthday Party, Swell Maps and Einstürzende Neubauten — for the band’s first tour in more than 20 years, a brand-new compilation and its first new studio album since 1990’s ‘Paradise Discotheque.’

This week’s new releases include a new albums from Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore (‘Demolished Thoughts’), Clan of Xymox (‘Darkest Hour’) and ex-Cocteau Twin member Robin Guthrie (‘Emeralds’), plus a reissue of Einstürzende Neubauten’s ‘Silence is Sexy.’

Einstürzende Neubauten next week will reissue its 2000 album ‘Silence is Sexy’ — an ‘unexpected exploration of silence’ that the group proclaims is ‘the most complex work of the Neubauten’ — before embarking on a short European tour.

This week’s new releases include a box set of Joy Division 7-inch singles; a limited-edition, marble-vinyl 2LP set of The Cure’s expanded ‘Entreat Plus’; Dead Can Dance’s 4LP vinyl ‘Box Set I’; and the U.S. release of Freebass’ debut CD ‘It’s a Beautiful Life.’

Einstürzende Neubauten on Monday canceled its 30th anniversary tour of North America, blaming the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for taking so long to approve the band’s visas there was no time ‘to secure the appointments at the overseas embassies and consulates that represent the necessary final step in the process.’

This week’s new releases include a new live CD/DVD set from Depeche Mode, the belated U.S. CD release of Nitzer Ebb’s ‘Industrial Complex,’ a new 2CD compilation from Einstürzende Neubauten and the 10th studio album from Meat Beat Manifesto.
