Watch: Nick Cave finds Bobby Gillespie in London audience for show-closing duet

Nick Cave has been ending the shows on his current tour with the Bad Seeds by filling the stage with fans during blistering performances of “Stagger Lee,” then bringing things way down with a trance-like “Push the Sky Away” in which he often climbs out into the audience. Saturday night in London, he found a friend in the crowd.

This past week saw pioneering British synthpop group Heaven 17 do something it never had done before: perform a live concert in the United States. Specifically, Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory brought their live show to New York City’s Highline Ballroom on Wednesday night. Check out the setlist and video.

Frankie Rose, a former member of indie-pop groups including Vivian Girls and Dum Dum Girls, has recorded a front-to-back cover of The Cure’s 1980 sophomore album Seventeen Seconds that will be made available next month to members of the Sounds Delicious vinyl subscription service. Morrissey announces 16-date U.S. tour this fall in support of ‘Low in High School’

Nearly a year after his last U.S. tour fizzled amid cancellations and illness, Morrissey will return to the road this fall for a 16-date American trek in support of the forthcoming album Low in High School. The trek opens Oct. 31 in Portland, Ore., and wraps up Dec. 7 in Boston. See full dates here.

Depeche Mode has been performing a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” on its Global Spirit Tour for the past several months, and today the group released a music video for a studio version of the cut in honor of the iconic song’s 40th anniversary. Watch the full video here.
