With the full list of Record Store Day releases now out in the wild, the nature of The Cure’s Mixed Up sequel Torn Down that we first reported over the weekend is now clear: The 2LP picture disc will include 16 brand-new remixes of Cure songs prepared by Robert Smith himself. London’s Meltdown festival today revealed the first round of acts selected by The Cure’s Robert Smith for this year’s series of concerts, a roster that includes My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails, The Psychedelic Furs, Kristin Hersh of Throwing Muses, and The Church. Full details right here.

As The Psychedelic Furs prepare to open a spring run of largely California dates this week, the band has expanded its 2018 plans, announcing they’ll follow a brief foray into Spain and the U.K. with more West Coast dates this summer at which they’ll be joined by L.A. punk legends X.
