The Cruel World music festival lives on. Goldenvoice, the event’s promoter, today announced the inaugural Los Angeles-based festival with the ’80s-heavy bill — Morrissey, Bauhaus, Blondie and Devo — is being moved to Sept. 12 from May 2 over concerns about the spread of the coronavirus. Genesis P-Orridge, co-founder of Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV, dead at 70

Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, the British musician, poet, performance artist, occultist and avant garde avatar who co-founded pioneering industrial act Throbbing Gristle as well as Psychic TV, died Saturday after battling leukemia for 2½ years, the Dais Records label announced. P-Orridge was 70 years old.
