After much number-crunching, we’re thrilled to present the first results of our yearlong Best of the ’80s Redux series, the Slicing Up Eyeballs readers poll that has now determined your collective ranking of the Top 100 songs of 1980 — the year, not the decade, although judging by your votes, that was a point of confusion.

Last fall, Dean Wareham announced plans to reunite his post-Galaxie 500 band Luna for the first time in a decade for shows this coming spring in Spain. Today, though, he followed that up with big news for U.S. fans: The band’s reunion will open with an April 13 show in Los Angeles, with more American dates this fall.

Universal Music is advising Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark fans who’ve purchased the just-released deluxe-edition reissue of Junk Culture to return their copies to the retailers from which they purchased the album as it’s being re-pressed because of errors on Disc 2.

This week’s new releases include a live set from Devo called ‘Hardcore Live!’ that will be available on CD, DVD and Blu-ray, and digitally as well. Also out this week: a limited-edition vinyl repress of Dinosaur Jr’s ‘Bug: Live at the 9:30 Club’ on red vinyl. An even more limited splatter-colored LP already has sold out.
