More than a year ago, word emerged that Trent Reznor and some of his Nine Inch Nails bandmates were to be among the enormous cast of David Lynch’s “Twin Peaks” revival for Showtime — and fans watching tonight’s mind-bending installment finally found out what that entailed. Now we know what that entails.

“Dark Wave,” hosted by Slicing Up Eyeballs’ Matt Sebastian, airs 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. EDT every Sunday on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1st Wave (Channel 33). The most recent two episodes also are available via Sirius XM’s On Demand service for online subscribers. Fans who saw tonight’s Stone Roses gig in Glasgow are reporting that frontman Ian Brown seemingly announced the end of the band, telling the crowd, “Don’t be sad it’s over. Be happy that it happened” — suggesting the Manchester legends’ reunion has run its course after five years.

This Sunday’s episode of “Dark Wave” on Sirius XM satellite radio’s 1stWave channel will spotlight Cherry Red Records’ forthcoming Silhouettes & Statues: A Gothic Revolution 1978-1986, featuring selections from the 5-disc box set throughout the three-hour program. The show airs at 10 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.

They talk about the origin of his stage name, going on the road with the Ocean Blue and the Mighty Lemon Drops, and touring solo-acoustic.

For this week’s installment of Vintage Video, we flash back to XTC’s early turn as a touring band for this 1979 performance filmed in Paris and broadcast by French TV. The 20-minute set comes a few months after the release of Drums and Wires, and opens with three songs off that album.
