Peter Dachert, better known as Peter Principle, the bassist for the San Francisco-born, Brussels-based experimental post-punk act Tuxedomoon, died earlier this week while the group was working on new music and preparing to tour Europe, the band announced on its site.

For the third Saturday in a row, Paul Westerberg has released a new song via his anonymous Soundcloud account — and this time it’s a twangy, acoustic shuffle called “Felin’ Good” that’s the most conventional of the batch of new songs he’s released over the course of this month. Stream it here.

The upcoming expanded reissue of The Smiths’ classic 1986 album The Queen is Dead, it turns out, will be bigger than originally thought. Rhino Records this morning formally announced the first-ever expanded reissue from the legendary band, revealing that it will be be released as a 3CD/1DVD boxed set.
