The Monochrome Set to play U.S. dates in 2019 as part of 40th anniversary celebration

U.K. post-punk veterans The Monochrome Set will return to the U.S. early next year for a rare tour, playing nine dates — largely on the East and West coasts — as the group continues the celebration of the 40th anniversary of its formation. The U.S. tour opens March 1 in Boston and runs through March 10 in Los Angeles.

Conway Savage, the Australian musician who played piano and organ, and provided backing vocals, for Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds for more than a quarter-century, died Sunday night, about 10 months after the band revealed he was being treated for a brain tumor. He was 58.
