Crowded House this week marked the 33rd anniversary of their classic single “Don’t Dream It’s Over” reaching No. 2 on the U.S. charts by recording a new socially-distanced version of the song “between continents.” You can see the whole multi-part performance right here.
Following the success of the debut of DJ Jake Rudh’s “180 Minutes” earlier this month, Transmission Music and Slicing Up Eyeballs are thrilled to announce the event — a 3+ hour audiovisual celebration of college rock and classic alternative music — will stream live on Twitch every other Saturday night, beginning this coming weekend.

Punk icons X celebrated today’s 40th anniversary of their landmark debut Los Angeles by surprise-releasing Alphabetland, the band’s first album in 27 years and the first recorded by its original lineup — Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom and D.J. As they continue to build up toward their first new album in 29 years, The Psychedelic Furs this week premiered the third song off the pandemic-delayed Made of Rain, a dark, swirling rocker called “No-One” that you can hear in its entirety right here. The album is due out July 31.
