dang. how do you people afford going to these things.
Phoenix? Headlining over New Order? Or the Violent Femmes? Weird.
Are the Stone Roses & Blur really popular enough in the States to headline such an event? And surely New Order should be higher on the bill the following night..? Weird line-up.
Yes, Blur and Stone Roses are popular enough to headline. It will be mobbed.
Mobbed? Nah, i dont think so. All the yanks know of Blur is Song 2 or the Woohoo song as they call it.
Dont get me wrong, i like Blur and was actually fairly obsessed with them as a kid in the 90s briefly, but i dont see them pulling a huge crowd over there. As for the Stone Roses, i think they are even lesser known in America than Blur.
At the peak of the Song 2 mania, I saw Blur headline Los Angeles at the Hollywood Palladium. I saw the Roses on the Second Coming tour at the Hollywood Palladium as well. The capacity of the Palladium is 4,000.
Not sure how mobbed that main stage are will be on Friday night. But it doesn’t really matter. Both weekends were sold out months ago.
No, both weekends were not sold out months ago. The presale sold out. The official onsale is next Tuesday.
I sit corrected. Thank you David.
I wonder how this will affect ticket sales? I would think hotels would be pretty scarce at this point though.
this is the best line up in years. I wish I could go!
And oh yeah, Phoenix??? WTF???
Johnny Marr, New Order, one day apart. Possible Electronic reunion?
The Three O’Clock reunion would be awesome.
