Electro-industrial legends Skinny Puppy next month will release the live album Bootlegged, Broke and In Solvent Seas, recorded on the band’s 2010 European tour — and you can get a first taste via this live version of “Dogshit,” the infamous lead-off track to 1988’s VIVIsectVI that was renamed “Censor” when it was released as a single.
Due out June 12, the 100track Bootlegged was recorded in Warsaw, Poland; Bratislava, Slovakia; Hildesheim, Germany; and Budapest, Hungary, and captures the band — still centered around Nivek Ogre and cEvin Key — recorded straight from the soundboard with “no editing magic or trickery.” Check out the full tracklist and the “Dogshit” stream below.

Fuck yeah!
I wish it was a 100 track album!
Can’t wait for this, their live shows were some the most disturbing and exciting concerts I ever witnessed. They always sound spot on live, as well.
dog shit is right
9 tracks ? That’s it? This is more like an EP. ‘Handover’ was a pretty awful record. Let’s hope they tour soon, because they’ve lost it as a studio band.
I though ‘Handover’ had it’s moments. I thought two of the tracks (“Cullorblind” and “Vyrisus”) were genuine SP classics, and the rest of it was pretty good (with the exception of “Ashas-” I fucking hate that song). As a whole, I just don’t think the album stands up next to ‘VivisectVI’ or ‘Last Rights.’
Then again, nothing really does.
Wow, VIVIsectVI…brings back memories! Great CD along with M:TPI, Remission and Bites. Puppy in the 80’s was so good!
