Reactivated Canadian New Wave stars Men Without Hats are set to release Love in the Age of War, their first album in nine years, this spring, and last week frontman Ivan Doroschuk premiered the album’s first single, “Head Above Water,” on Montreal’s CHOM 97.7. You can stream the short interview with Doroschuk and the song, which starts around 1:30, above. The full album, which Doroschuk produced with former Skinny Puppy member Dave “Rave” Ogilvie, is due out May 22 in Canada and “everywhere else” in early June.

When I first read Men w/out Hats had a new album in the works, I was nothing but cynical. I used to love these guys in the 80’s & “Pop Goes The World” was almost the perfect pop album but who cares anymore… right? But boy I was wrong. Great track!!! Looking forward to hearing the whole album.
Yes, “Pop Goes The World” is an excellent album. Listened to it a couple weeks ago.
