It’s been four months since we last reported on a delay of the near-mythical reissues of My Bloody Valentine’s two albums, 1988’s Isn’t Anything and 1991’s Loveless. Well, that drought’s over. As a reader points out, Sony Commercial Music Group — Sony’s U.K. catalog arm — now lists Nov. 23 release dates for both albums. Now, retailers like Amazon.co.uk still show the previous August date, but The Ideal Copy has taken a more pessimistic stance, simply labeling the CDs as “SCHEDULED FOR RELEASE 2010 ?”
PREVIOUSLY ON SLICING UP EYEBALLS
- My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Loveless,’ ‘Isn’t Anything’ reissues delayed until August
- My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Loveless,’ ‘Isn’t Anything’ reissues bumped to March
- Shocker: My Bloody Valentine ‘Loveless,’ ‘Isn’t Anything’ reissues delayed. Again
- My Bloody Valentine’s ‘Loveless,’ ‘Isn’t Anything’ reissues due out in January
Again?
Has anybody got any idea of why this keeps happening?
At this rate I honestly think these things will never see the light of day.
Dont ask why? (geddit) but I suspect that since we are approching the 20th anniversary of Loveless in 2011, both albums (and hopefully the remastered EPs collection that was also promised) will be released then…but then this release date has been pushed back for a couple of years now so who knows…Soon :)
Lazy fucks need to to put down the bottles (or pipes)!!!
As expected, Amazon UK now states Jan 24th, 2011
