Robert Forster, the surviving co-founder of Australia’s The Go-Betweens, will embark on a book tour of the U.K. and Ireland this September to promote the publication of the paperback edition of “Grant & I: Inside and Outside The Go-Betweens.”
The readings, which run Sept. 5 through 13, plus an appearance at Manchester’s Louder Than Words Festival in November, will find Forster discussing his life and music, and his creative partnership with the late Grant McLennan. He’ll also take part in Q&A sessions, sign books and “perhaps play a song or two.”
First published in hardback last year, signed copies of the new paperback edition of “Grant & I: Inside and Outside The Go-Betweens” can be ordered via PledgeMusic.
The Go-Betweens also are the subject of a new documentary called “Right Here” (watch the trailer).

Appreciate the Go-Betweens coverage, I’m a huge fan, but Grant McLellan??? That’s Grant McLennan.
Oof. Thanks for letting me know. Fixed.
This is great news. But what this American fan of the Go-Betweens really wants is the second (of three) “G Stands for Go-Betweens” box sets on vinyl, covering 1986 to 1988 — Liberty Belle, Tallulah, 16 Lovers Lane, and b-sides, live recordings, etc. Come on, Robert, finish the project!!
