A box set of 10 pre-1980 singles by the Ramones with reproduced Sire labels and picture sleeves (where applicable) will be released next month as part of Record Store Day in the U.S. and U.K., a collection of “great punk rock tracks that changed the course of rock ‘n’ roll.”
Singles Box, packaged in a cigarette-style box, will be limited to 6,500 copies worldwide.
The Record Store Day listings don’t provide a full tracklist, but the product description promises:
“Wall-to-wall Ramones classics including “Blitzkrieg Bop,” “Sheena Is A Punk Rocker,” “Swallow My Pride,” “Rock ‘N’ Roll High School” and a special mono/stereo promo edition of ‘I Wanna Be Sedated,’ all presented the way punk rock should be–as 45 RPM slabs of wax.”
Record Store Day is April 22. Find participating stores at RSD’s U.S. or U.K. websites.
