For this week’s “120 Minutes” Rewind, we revisit the show’s “120 X-Ray” segment, a short spotlight on a given band — in this case, a Kevin Seal-hosted piece on Siouxsie and the Banshees that aired in 1988 following the release of the band’s Peepshow album. As you can see from this clip, it’s got typical absurdist patter from Seal, plus some very dated visual effects. Not to mention Siouxsie, Steven Severin and Budgie on the couch.

…remember when 120m was reporting on the tompkins square park riot 8/88?
My first time seeing the Banshees (among many) was on this tour at the Universal ampitheater in LA. Last night I met Steve Severin at a screening of the silent horror classic “Vampyr”, for which he did the soundtrack. lovely man, and really great stuff he’s doing now. But I miss the Banshees!
