It’s not unusual, of course, for bands these days to set up on Twitter, but William Reid — one half of The Jesus and Mary Chain — wants to make it known that the seminal noise-pop group’s new @jamcofficial account is, well, official. And he’s done it the old-fashioned way, via pen and paper, as evidenced by the photo above, which, so far, is the only thing the Mary Chain has tweeted.
Fans can only hope that the JAMC’s new online presence — coupled, perhaps, with the band’s new double-disc best-of and this month’s 25th anniversary of Psychocandy — portends new activity from the reunited, but recently dormant, brothers Reid.
