Southern California punk icons Bad Religion recently unveiled a brand-new music video for “Wrong Way Kids,” a track off their latest album, The Dissent of Man. As the band explains in an e-mail to fans, the idea for the retrospective clip came during last year’s 30th anniversary celebrations:
“The song is an attempt to describe what it felt like to come of age in the burgeoning Los Angeles hardcore scene, and what it feels like looking back on it today after all we’ve been through together. We thought we could capture the vibe of the song by making a tribute to our oddball family — a home movie of sorts. So we gathered lots of rare and never before seen footage (some of it dating back to 1981), put it all together in roughly chronological order and set it to the music.”
The band currently is in the midst of a spring tour with Rise Against, a trek that continues tonight in Corpus Christi, Texas, and runs through May 13 in Chicago (see dates here).
