BACKSTORY: The classic Australian band’s latest studio album has been available Down Under and online for some time, but it finally gets a U.S. release this week. The band, on its Web site, calls “a haunting, dark, thrilling, ecstatic, melodic, psychedelic journey in 10 unforgettable pieces.”

RELEASE: Sewn Together
BACKSTORY: The long-running Southwestern band — now featuring founding members Cris and Curt Kirkwood, plus drummer Ted Marcus — recorded the new album, its first in two years, over the winter in Phoenix.
