The remainder of Devo’s 2010 live dates have been canceled after guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh (pictured at left) sliced his right thumb “to the bone” on a shard of glass, severing a tendon and requiring emergency surgery, the band announced today.
The group reports that “most of Devo’s upcoming November tour dates” — including shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Solana Beach, Calif. — “will be rescheduled for next spring.” Additionally, while Devo will not be performing at this weekend’s MoogFest in Asheville, N.C., Mark Mothersbaugh and Gerald Casale will still attend.
