For this week’s installment of the Vintage Video series, we bring you another classic performance filmed for the renowned German TV show “Rockpalast” — this time a full 70-minute, English Settlement-era concert by XTC that was filmed in early 1982, just two months before the band would play its last-ever tour date before retiring as a live act due to frontman Andy Partridge’s crippling stage fright. Although, after watching Partridge’s extremely animated performance in this footage, it’s hard to imagine he was so stage-shy. Check out the 15-song set above, courtesy YouTube uploader misleadingsilhouette.
